Rudolph blushed. He hadn't really thought about it before, but having a song about him was pretty neat. Before then, Rudolph had thought he was doomed to be teased forever, but now...
"I guess it's pretty cool. I never would have thought they would be singing about me before now, though." he admitted.
"D'aww, you're just modest." Ray said. Rudolph nodded, supposing it was true that he was a bit modest.

"You and Frosty have songs, but my father has a story." said Aleu as she remembered the story Balto told her.

Rudolph chuckled a bit. He had heard the story of Balto before, and knew the dog was famous in his own right. Probably more famous than one red-nosed reindeer that happened to save Christmas. "His story is definitely memorable." Rudolph said. He then glanced at Ray. The firefly appeared tired of hovering in one spot, so Rudolph bowed his head and allowed Ray to land gently on one of his antlers.
"Thanks, Rudolph." Ray said. Rudolph nodded, acknowledging the firefly's thanks.
"You two must be tired after the long journey. Why don't we find some place to rest?" Rudolph asked.

"Yeah, that sounds like a nice idea Rudo." said Aleu as she panted. She knew she was part husky but the trip took a lot out of her.

"Yeah, thank ya kindly Rudolph." Ray said.
"It's no trouble, really. I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind if you two stayed with us. Just follow me." Rudolph said. Rudolph felt Ray grip the antler he was clinging to, and with that Rudolph started walking in the direction of his home. He wondered what his parents, especially his father Blitzen, would say if he told them he was in love with Aleu. He shook the thought from his head, deciding not to worry about it and smiling sweetly at Aleu. He was positive both his mother and father would like her and Ray.

Aleu trotted after Rudolph. She was awed by the town and found it amazing.

Rudolph was walking alongside Aleu now, pointing out significant things about Christmas Town as the two walked and as Ray observed from Rudolph's antlers. It wasn't long before he had led them to his own home. He carefully pushed open the door and walked inside. "Mom, Pop, I'm home!" he called.
Ray, who felt a bit less tired once Rudolph had led him inside, fluttered above the reindeer's head and looked around the home. "Dis is quite de place ya got here, Rudolph." Ray commented.
"Go ahead and make yourselves at home." Rudolph said to both Ray and Aleu.
(ooc: Hmm... what to do about Blitzen and Mitzi. I suppose we could just roleplay them as is on these accounts.)

"Wow, this is nothing like Nome." commented Aleu as she walked inside.
(OOC: Sounds like a plan!)

"And it ain't nothin' like de bayou, that for sure." Ray stated as he fluttered over to a comfy looking spot and lay down to get some well-deserved rest. Rudolph couldn't help but chuckle at his friends' statements. He didn't know what Nome or the bayou were like, but he was somewhat curious.
"Who are your friends, Rudy?" a voice asked. Both Rudolph and Ray looked up and saw an adult male reindeer looking at all of them. He was Rudolph's father, Blitzen.
"Hi, Pop. I want you to meet my friends Aleu and Ray." Rudolph said, indicating both of them with his hoof. Ray waved at Blitzen and in turn the older reindeer nodded in greeting. "They wanted to come and visit." Rudolph explained.
"Well, it's certainly nice to meet you. Any friend of Rudy's is always welcome as far as I'm concerned." Blitzen said.

"I'm sure you've heard of my father, Balto." said Aleu as she wagged her tail. She figured that everyone knew him, because of the story about how he saved Nome.

Blitzen nodded a bit as Aleu spoke. "Ah, I believe I've heard the tale of Balto before. He must be quite the brave dog." Blitzen said. He paused, looking over Aleu with curious eyes. "You're his daughter then?" he asked.
"Yes, she is Pop. Aleu is... one of the most amazing dogs I've ever met." Rudolph replied for her, gently nuzzling her cheek as he did.
Blitzen tilted his head to the side curiously as he watched his son, wondering for a moment if the two liked each other as more than friends. A reindeer falling for a dog? That's quite the interesting couple. he thought. Blitzen never was too judgmental, probably because of Rudolph. "Well, you and your firefly friend are welcome to stay as long as you like, Aleu." Blitzen said with a smile.
Rudolph smiled back at Blitzen, happy that his father seemed accepting of him being in love with Aleu. Blitzen nodded back at Rudolph and Aleu before heading back the way he came, back to where his own love Mitzi was waiting for him.
"Well, Capp'n, yer father sure is nice." Ray said sleepily. The trip had taken a lot out of the firefly and he looked like he was about ready to fall asleep then and there. Rudolph couldn't help but chuckle at the sleepy little firefly.
"You go ahead and get some sleep, Ray. Aleu and I will be here if you need us. Right?" Rudolph asked, gently nuzzling Aleu's cheek again as he did.

"You got that right Rudo!" said Aleu as she licked his cheek. She found this place amazing and cool.

(ooc: Hope you don't that I'm skipping to it being the next morning)
Ray woke up very suddenly the following morning. It wasn't painfully real flashbacks of his death waking him this time, though. It was the cold that had awoken the little firefly. He glanced at Rudolph, who was still sound asleep, and grumbled a bit. Both Rudolph and Aleu seemed quite content with the weather. Ray thought it was pretty, at least, but it was a bit too cold for his taste. "Hey Rudolph. Aleu. Ya awake, guys?" he asked.
Rudolph stirred from his sleep, lazily opening one eye to look at Ray. "Morning already?" he asked. Ray nodded and flew over to the sleeping wolf-dog and the slowly awakening reindeer. "You all right, Ray?" Rudolph asked.
"Just a bit cold, ah guess. Guess it makes sense, though. Ah don't think fireflies were quite meant fer cold weather." Ray replied. He then glanced at Aleu, noticing she was still asleep.

"So, what are we gonna do now?" Ray asked. Rudolph pondered this for a moment. It wouldn't be long before he was called on to help on Santa's yearly flight. If his calculations were right, it was only a few days away.
"Well, if you guys wanted I could give you a tour of the village. There isn't much here, but I think you'd like it." Rudolph replied.
