(Takes place after Aleu left the castle with Ray.)
Aleu sniffed the ground as she determined which way to go. "Good thing I have my father's sense of smell." she said as she checked how Ray was doing.

(ooc: I'm going to assume it's snowing, because I'm cool like that. CX)
Cold. It was very cold. Colder than the firefly had anticipated. But Ray pressed onward, fluttering in front of Aleu to guide the wolf-dog with his light. He looked back at Aleu as she gazed up at him, only chuckling a little when he realized she looked a bit worried about him. "Don't worry 'bout ol' Ray, Aleu. You just keep followin' that nose of yers an' we'll find ol' Rudy in no time." Ray said. As if to prove his point that she shouldn't worry, Ray flew a bit farther ahead of her, all the while keeping within her line of sight in case he should happen to falter.

Aleu giggled a little bit when she remembered what her dad did. "This reminds me of when my father saved Nome, except I'm a puppy." she commented as she smiled.

Ray couldn't help but chuckle a little as Aleu said this. "'Cept of course we're just lookin' for our reindeer friend instead of saving anything." he commented. Ray wondered how much farther the two would have to travel. He realized they probably hadn't been traveling for long, but he still wondered just how far they would go. A particularly cold blast of wind sent Ray back a little, but he managed to fly against the wind and keep going. It certainly wasn't easy going for the firefly, but he would keep going for the sake of Aleu and Rudolph.

Aleu jolted up when she caught sight of some lights. "Is that.......what I think it is?" she asked as her tail began to wag. She had never been to the North Pole before and this was a real adventure for her.

Ray looked up, wondering what Aleu had caught sight of, and then he saw the brilliant lights. Granted, he didn't think they were as astounding as his Evangeline, but Ray was nonetheless impressed. "Cher, I think we found it." he breathed. That had to be the North Pole just ahead. And somewhere ahead of them was their friend. "Boy, is Rudolph gonna be glad to see us or what?" Ray asked. He hardly waited for Aleu to answer before fluttering a bit further ahead. He was eager to see what lay ahead of the two.

"Yeah, I can't wait!" she said as she raced toward the lights. She was excited for what lay there.

It wasn't long before Ray reached what appeared to be the entrance of a village. Looking up, he spotted a sign that read 'Welcome to Christmas Town'. "Yep, Cher, this must be de right place." Ray said, flying up to the sign and shining his light on it so Aleu could see. While he was above the sign, he thought he could see a red glow in the distance. A familiar red glow at that. "Aleu, I think I can see Rudolph!" he exclaimed.

"Well, let's go!" barked Aleu as she raced toward the light. She knew Rudolph would be surprised to see her.

Ray didn't have to be told twice. He was flying after Aleu faster than you could say 'Ma belle Evangeline'. As he flew after Aleu, he noticed the large number of older reindeer about town. They didn't seem to mind the fact that a firefly and a wolf-dog were going through their town, so Ray didn't question it. As he flew, he noticed the red glow he had seen was getting brighter.
Meanwhile, Rudolph was standing on a snowy hill top. Ironically, it was the same hill he had stood on when he had made his practice speech for accepting a medal of valor back when he was a young fawn. That was back when he and Zoey had been alone together for the first time. He smiled a bit, remembering how he and she had almost kissed under mistletoe as they had walked and talked before Arrow, Cupid's son, had found them. He looked down, admiring his medal of valor that was now around his neck. He smiled, noting how the medal still had its brilliant golden shine that it had had that fateful foggy night when Santa had given it to him. "I've certainly come a long way since then." Rudolph said. Rudolph then looked up, thinking for a moment that he saw a faint golden glow heading in his direction. He tilted his head to the side in a confused manner and, deciding that he wanted to know where the light was coming from, Rudolph walked down his hill and started to approach the direction the light was coming from.

"It's gotta be him! The song is only about Rudolph and no other reindeer!" she panted as she ran. She released a howl as she ran.

"All the more reason we should keep goin'!" Ray exclaimed. Truth be told, he was a bit tired from the long journey, but he wasn't about to let Aleu know that. He kept flying, making his light glow as brightly as it could. "Hey, the red light is gettin' closer." he commented.
Rudolph increased his speed when he heard the familiar howl. An eager grin spread across his face as he dashed forward. He wasn't entirely certain at first, but the howl confirmed it. Aleu had come. He concluded then that the golden light he saw came from his firefly friend. Ray must have guided her here. I hope they're both doing all right after the journey. he thought. It wasn't long before Rudolph finally came to a stop. The golden glow was at its brightest and there, approaching him from the direction of the town entrance, was Aleu with Ray following closely behind her. "Aleu! Ray!" Rudolph called out excitedly.
"Rudolph!" Ray called out. He was about to fly over to Rudolph, but then a gust of wind sent him right toward the reindeer. Rudolph, who had been running to greet the two, came to a screeching halt as Ray went flying into his face. Rudolph dimmed his light so as to avoid blinding Ray, and Ray slid down the reindeer's snout until he was resting against Rudolph's red nose. The firefly grinned sheepishly at Rudolph, and the reindeer let out a relieved sigh when he saw Ray hadn't been hurt. "Sorry 'bout that. Guess de wind was a bit too excited." Ray laughed.
"It's good to see you two again." Rudolph said.

"Right back at ya Rudo." said Aleu as she wagged her tail. She gazed around as she wondered if The Polar Express was real too.

"What made you two want to come and find me?" Rudolph asked.
"Well, 'twas actually Aleu's idea actually. I thought she'd be needin' a guide so... well... here I be." Ray replied as he flew off of Rudolph's snout and down to his line of sight. He then spotted the medal around Rudolph's neck and looked at it curiously. "What's this yer wearin', Rudolph?" Ray asked.
"Oh, this? It's my medal of valor. All of Santa's fliers wear them." Rudolph explained. He then looked happily back at Aleu. He was certainly glad to see her again.

Aleu gazed at it. "It must be so cool to have a song about you." she said. Part of her wished she could be a reindeer, but knew it was a crazy dream.
